Legal Aid Unit has been established in July 2004 with an aim to promote equitable justice through assisting disadvantaged people to understand and protect their rights. The legal aid unit offers free legal aid service (in form of advice or litigation) and legal education campaign for healthy and reconstructive environment in prisons. Other activities include training of police and court officials and formation of a citizen bureau in Quetta to promote institutional accountability. This unit will also provide legal services in Sibi and Naseerabad.
